Key Responsibilities
As a People Advisor, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing advice in line with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Administering People-related correspondence, including contracts, offer letters and benefits information.
- Creating, supporting and leading learning and development activities.
- Managing employee relations casework, including performance, conduct and absence matters.
- Supporting the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising, interviewing and onboarding.
- Maintaining and updating the online People system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Coordinating the employee survey and supporting follow-up action planning.
- Supporting managers with appraisal processes and learning and development requests.
- Assisting with People projects and initiatives, working closely with the Head of People and external HR consultants.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- CIPD qualified (Level 3 or above).
- 3-5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
- Proven generalist HR experience, ideally supporting multiple departments.
- Strong working knowledge of current employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage a varied workload effectively.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and HR databases/systems.
£28,800 per annum (pro rata) based on 30 hours per week Monday to Friday
