Job Description

Title: Talent Development Manager (10-12 months Maternity Cover)

Contract Type: 10-12 month FTC, FT, 35 hours

Salary starting from £57,094 per annum (London weighted salary) or £49,502 per annum (Regional salary)

Grade: 10

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

Join our L&D Academy Team at L&Q!

This is an exciting opportunity to join our L&D Academy team and help shape the future skills, capability and talent pipelines across L&Q.

In this role, you'll lead the delivery and development of Talent Development programmes, including apprenticeships, graduate schemes, leadership and management pathways, coaching, mentoring and professional upskilling. You'll work closely with colleagues, leaders and external partners to create meaningful development opportunities and clear career pathways across the organisation.

You'll also lead a team of Talent Development Advisors, using data and insight to drive continuous improvement and ensure our programmes deliver real impact for colleagues and the business.

Reporting to the Head of L&D Academy, you'll be a valued member of the team, contributing to the ongoing success of learning and talent development at L&Q.

Your Impact in the Role:

• Lead the delivery and evaluation of Early Talent programmes, including apprenticeships and graduate schemes, ensuring compliance, quality and business impact.

• Manage leadership, management, coaching, mentoring and talent programmes that build capability and support career progression.

• Oversee programme planning, supplier management, reporting and continuous improvement to maximise value and effectiveness.

• Build strong relationships with managers, colleagues and external partners to ensure programmes meet organisational and learner needs.

• Lead and develop a team of Talent Development Advisors, delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service.

• Use data and insight to measure impact, improve performance and shape future talent initiatives.

What You'll Bring:

• Educated to Level 5 or equivalent, ideally with a CIPD or related learning qualification, or significant L&D experience.

• Strong knowledge of apprenticeships, including legislation, funding and quality requirements.

• Experience delivering talent development, early careers, apprenticeship or leadership programmes within a complex organisation.

• Strong project and programme management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data to drive improvement.

• Experience managing and developing others.

• A coaching qualification or accreditation in tools such as Insights Discovery, MBTI or Belbin would be advantageous.
