At the HCPC, every role contributes to safeguarding the public and upholding standards in health and care. As an HR Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of our people function supporting managers and employees with practical, timely advice and ensuring our core HR processes run smoothly.
You’ll work closely with the HR Business Partner and wider team, gaining exposure across the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, payroll, and people data.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing clear advice to managers and employees
- Supporting recruitment activities end-to-end, including onboarding and employer branding initiatives
- Advising on employee relations matters such as probation, capability and disciplinary cases, with support from the HR Business Partner
- Supporting the monthly payroll process and maintaining accurate HR data and records
- Producing reports and insights on workforce data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
- Keeping HR policies and procedures up to date and accessible
- Supporting engagement activities, exit interviews, and absence management processes
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who combines strong HR foundations with a proactive, customer-focused approach. You will bring:
- Experience in an HR advisory role, with exposure to employee relations and HR processes
- Knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, and payroll administration
- Confidence working with HR systems and people data
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and professionalism
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent experience (desirable)
