 Role Summary

Working as part of the HR team, supporting the delivery of the People Strategy, you will provide guidance, advice and support to managers across the business in the UK and Republic of Ireland to ensure all Company procedures and policies are followed in line with legislative requirements and the overall business strategy.

 Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner line managers providing HR support and advice on policies, investigations, disciplinary, grievance, absence and all other people activity.
  • Design and deliver both virtual and face to face HR Training to increase manager capability and confidence
  • Deliver project work supporting the people strategy and business focus areas
  • Support talent and development programmes and activity
  • Ownership of People MI and insights for locations, regions, contracts and business units
  • Support end to end HR and employee life cycle activities and associated colleague communications including all ER activity to include any ET cases.
  • Use and engagement of accurate people systems for all colleagues, including training at all levels
  • Ownership of delivery and design of all people related policies, procedures and related activity in line with our values and meeting all internal and external timeframes and requirements

 Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00-17.30 with a 1 hour unpaid lunchbreak

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role and with employee life cycle activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of legislation, National Recognition Agreements, policies and procedures to support adherence and delivery across business areas
  • Ability to work flexibility in a fast-paced environment

 Desirable

  • Keen interest and skills in HR system development and MI
  • CIPD qualified to level 5 or above 
  • Experience working with unions
