HR Manager/Manager of People Operations

Job Description

We are looking to appoint a Human Resources Manager/Manager of People Operations for a rare and genuinely interesting opportunity with an established, privately owned operational business called Central Pharma in the Bedford area.

Salary £50,000 to £55,000.

This is not a role where you step into somebody else’s shoes or inherit a fully formed structure.

It is an opportunity to help shape and strengthen the People function, build practical foundations, improve consistency and create a credible, hands-on people support service across the business.

We are looking for someone with strong generalist HR experience, sound employee relations capability, experience in an operational environment and the credibility and resilience to work effectively across both leadership and shop floor teams.

A practical interest in systems, process improvement and smarter ways of working will be important too.

This role is fully site-based, which is a key part of the opportunity. Being present in the operation brings real visibility, influence and the ability to help shape direction.

It will suit someone who enjoys building, improving and bringing calm, structure and judgement in an environment where at times, there is a degree of ambiguity.
