The Vacancy 

Anglian Learning is a successful multi-academy trust in East Anglian responsible for 22 schools educating over 11,000 pupils and employing more than 1600 staff.  We value a culture of supportive, respectful relationships with a shared goal of enabling inclusive and aspirational learning in every classroom.  

Led by the Director of People, the HR Shared Services Team adopts a business partnering model with a relatively newly formed team consisting of HR Business Partners, HR Officers and HR Assistants. You’ll act as the first point of contact for your assigned school(s), delivering a broad and hands-on HR service. As a key member of the HR Team your role will include:

  • Managing employee relations including supporting the HRBPs with complex casework.
  • Leading on recruitment, onboarding, and HR processes
  • Advising staff, including manages and senior leaders, on policies and best practice
  • Supporting HR projects and organisational change which support the Trust’s people vision and strategy.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the people strategy in line with School/Area business plans and wider Trust strategic objectives.
  • Using HR data to identify trends and improve decision-making

This is a true generalist role acting as the operational lead and with exposure to the full employee lifecycle.

SO1 P23-25 (£34,434 – £36,363) FTE
