Job Title: People Partner

The People Partner will lead the delivery of engagement, organisational health, and a positive employee experience across the business, with a strong focus on engagement initiative and employee advocacy. With the support of the HR Administrator, this role will also oversee and ensure the smooth delivery of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, providing pragmatic HR advice and operational support.

This role is suited for someone who is passionate about engagement and culture, while also bringing strong expertise in employee relations, compliance and core HR practices.

Working closely with leaders, managers, employees, and the wider People team, the People Partner will create an environment where people feel connected, listened to, and motivated, while ensuring HR practices remain legally compliant, consistent, and effective.

Role & Responsibilities

Organisational Health, Engagement & Culture:
• Own and drive the OHI (Organisational Health Index) agenda, including planning, delivery, analysis, and follow-up actions
• Design, plan and deliver a robust annual engagement calendar, including but not limited to:
o Monthly local engagement activities and smaller-scale events
o Larger quarterly events and initiatives, including charity events and Christmas parties
o Calendar celebrations, recognition moments, and cultural milestones
o Oversee and manage of welfare budgets
• Partner with leaders and managers to translate OHI insights into meaningful and measurable actions
• Actively support initiatives to increase OHI survey scores and Employee Net Promoter Scores (eNPS)
• Create and deliver engagement initiatives that foster connection, inclusion and wellbeing across our multiple business units
• Support and facilitate company-wide communications, including townhalls, colleague forums, management meetings, newsletters and people-focused events
• Act as a visible and approachable presence, championing the employee voice and experience

Employee Relations:
• Provide practical, confident guidance on day-to-day employee relations matters
• Support managers with performance management, disciplinary, and grievance processes, ensuring fairness and consistency
• Act as a trusted advisor to management as well as a contact of support for employee concerns, questions, and conflict resolution

Recruitment & Onboarding:
• Support recruitment activities, including role profiling, job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination and offer processes
• Provide a thorough and effective onboarding programme, working closely with hiring managers to deliver a positive candidate and new starter experience

Payroll & Reward:
• Oversee and sign off monthly payroll processing, working closely with the HR Administrator to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Support people budget management, including headcount tracking, cost forecasting, and monitoring spend against the People Budget
• Manage and administer all reward and benefits programmes, working closely with our benefit brokers ensuring smooth renewals and rollouts
• Ensure benefits offerings are well communicated, understood, and aligned to support engagement, wellbeing, and retention
• Provide guidance and support on salary reviews and compensation planning, ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment with business budgets
• Coordinate and support annual salary review, bonus, and Total Compensation Review (TCR) processes

Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and HR processes
• Create, maintain and update HR policies and procedures
• Manage HR documentation and records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy

Person Profile

Education:

• Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Skills & Knowledge:
• Passionate about employee experience, engagement, and culture
• Strong desirable of understanding of HR practices and UK employment law
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships at all levels
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience using Canva and AI tools desirable

This is a full time, permanent role based from our Nottingham office.

What you'll earn (you won't find "competitive salary” written instead of a figure on our watch!)

Up to £40,000.00 dependant on experience.
