Job Description

As an HR and OD Business Partner, you’ll deliver a customer-focused, high-quality HR service across the University. Working closely with leaders, managers, and colleagues, you will provide expert professional HR advice on terms and conditions, policies, and procedures across the full employee lifecycle, enabling us to create an inclusive, innovative, and high-performing environment.

You will play a key role in supporting transformational change, helping teams align with the University’s People Strategy while embedding best practice HR processes and digital approaches to service improvement.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Degree-level education or significant equivalent experience.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and best practice.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, performance, organisational change).
  • Understanding of key compliance requirements, including UKVI and DBS processes.
  • A track record of implementing service improvements within HR.

What you'll earn (you won't find "competitive salary” written instead of a figure on our watch!)

£33,482 to £38,249 per annum

Death in service benefit (5 x annual salary)

Income protection - If you become too ill to work, you would be entitled to income protection cover of 50% of pay until retirement age, following your termination of employment from the University, subject to scheme conditions.
