HR Advisor

Job Description

  • Manage a wide range of Employee Relations cases, providing timely and accurate advice and attending formal meetings as required, including:

    • Investigations
    • Disciplinary and grievance matters
    • Sickness absence cases
    • Performance improvement issues
    • Restructuring and organisational change activity
  • Support and coach managers on all people‑management processes to improve capability and confidence.

  • Coordinate Occupational Health referrals, ensuring documentation, notes, and HR systems are accurately maintained.

    • Liaise with employees and managers to monitor sickness absence and support return‑to‑work planning.
  • Produce HR data, statistics, and metrics; identify trends and support department projects and general administrative tasks.

  • Contribute to HR project work, including:

    • Annual salary and bonus review processes
    • Employee communications
    • Lay‑offs, redundancy, and re‑organisation initiatives
  • Support Learning & Development and early‑career programmes; collaborate with the Training & Competency team to identify employee training needs.

  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries, providing accurate and supportive guidance.

  • Implement and coordinate Skills, Education, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion recruitment and retention initiatives.

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team when needed.

  • Process and manage sponsored workers, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and Home Office requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with client KPIs and reporting requirements relating to Social, Environmental & Economic (SEE) matters, EDI, and community engagement.

  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required to support the HR function and wider business.

Up to £38,806 per annum
