HR Business Partner Change & Integration (12 Month FTC) - Manchester with travel

Job Description

This is a key role supporting our growth and transformation plans over the next 12 months. We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to work closely with leaders and the wider People Team to deliver organisational change and provide high-quality, pragmatic HR support across the business.

This hybrid role is based in Manchester and will play an important part in supporting business change initiatives, including TUPE transfers, integration activity and operating model developments.
The role is hands-on and embedded within the business, supporting managers day to day while contributing to wider transformation activity.

The Role
 
Organisational Change, TUPE & Integration Support
  • Support the delivery of organisational change initiatives, including restructures, operating model developments and process improvements.

  • Provide hands-on support through TUPE processes, including preparation of documentation, coordination & conducting of consultation meetings and ensuring compliance with legislation.

  • Support HR due diligence activity where required, collating and analysing employee data and identifying potential employment risks.

  • Contribute to integration planning following acquisitions or business changes, supporting harmonisation of policies, processes and ways of working.

  • Partner with managers to assess people impacts of change and provide practical, risk-aware advice.

  • Support employee communications during periods of change, ensuring clarity, consistency and engagement.

Business Partnering & Core HR Support

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to managers, providing guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation and people processes.

  • Support the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, changes to terms, promotions, performance management and exits.

  • Coach managers to build capability in handling people matters confidently and consistently.

  • Use people data and management information to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.

International HR Support
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to our growing international workforce 

  • Support compliance with local employment requirements, escalating complex issues where appropriate.

  • Assist with onboarding and employment changes for international employees, ensuring documentation and data accuracy.

Governance, Compliance & Collaboration

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and TUPE regulations, ensuring compliance and best practice.

  • Ensure accurate maintenance of employee data and documentation.

  • Work collaboratively with the wider People Team to deliver a consistent and high-quality HR service.

  • Escalate complex or high-risk issues appropriately.

  • Contribute to wider People projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
  • CIPD qualified 
  • Proven experience operating at HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor level.

  • Practical experience supporting TUPE transfers and organisational change.

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.

  • Confident managing employee relations cases independently.

  • Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a growing and evolving organisation.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with managers and employees.

  • Commercially aware, pragmatic and solutions-focused.

  • Experience within professional services or multi-site environments would be beneficial.
