Job Description

Role Overview:
The HR Advisor provides experienced generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle. The Advisor plays a key role in delivering proactive support within several core HR functions, including safer recruitment, employee relations casework, payroll-related administration, policy reviews, HR data reporting, and absence and process management.

The postholder acts as a key point of advice for managers and contributes to HR strategy, wellbeing, and culture initiatives. This position requires someone with strong interpersonal skills who can work collaboratively with staff at all levels while ensuring compliance with employment legislation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an HR professional.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment and data protection laws and a proactive approach to keeping up to date with best practices.
  • Proven ability in advising Managers in HR Processes in line with internal policies and relevant law and legislation such as recruitment, attendance, performance management, disciplinary etc
  • Experience of using HR information system and analysis of statistical data is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Highly developed IT skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Forms)
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent professional qualification or demonstrable HR knowledge) or working towards CIPD qualification.-Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development is desirable.

Role details

Support Staff Pay Scale

Grade 8 - FTE £34,436-£39,143 per annum.  Actual - £31,098 - £35,350 per annum.

Working weeks: Term-time plus two weeks

Working hours: 8:15am - 4:15pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 4pm Friday
