T.M. Lewin is growing, with new store openings and further expansion planned, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior HR Coordinator to join our team.

This is a broad, hands-on HR operations role for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership and is confident working independently while building strong relationships across the business. You’ll be expected to use sound judgement, improve ways of working and provide practical support to managers and employees.

You’ll take ownership of core HR operations and help improve how they are delivered as the business grows, including:

  • Owning employee lifecycle administration from offer and onboarding through to leavers
  • Preparing contracts, contractual changes and other employee documentation independently
  • Owning the monthly HR payroll input process, working closely with managers, Finance and our outsourced payroll provider
  • Acting as the day-to-day HRIS lead for Sage HR, maintaining data quality, reporting and workflows
  • Coordinating recruitment and onboarding activity
  • Providing practical support to employees and managers on routine people matters
  • Supporting managers with standard people processes including probation, absence management and return-to-work
  • Supporting employee relations administration and knowing when matters need to be escalated
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to simplify, automate and improve HR processes and workflows

We’re particularly interested in someone who is organised, tech-savvy and confident with HR systems and Excel, with the judgement to deal with routine matters independently and know when to escalate.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong previous experience in HR operations, coordination or senior HR administration
  • Experience preparing contracts, contractual changes and employee lifecycle documentation independently
  • Hands-on experience preparing payroll inputs for outsourced payroll
  • Confident HRIS management (currently Sage HR), including maintaining employee data, workflows, documents, permissions and reporting tools
  • Strong Excel skills and an interest in using technology and automation to improve HR processes
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR administration compliance requirements
  • Sound judgement, with the confidence to handle routine matters independently and know when to escalate
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence managing recurring deadlines and competing priorities
  • An approachable, practical and collaborative style, with the ability to build effective relationships across the business
  • Experience in retail, hospitality or another multi-site environment would be helpful
  • CIPD qualification or study towards CIPD is desirable but not essential

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build broader HR operations experience within a growing retail business, with plenty of scope to take ownership, improve how we work and develop alongside the business.

No agencies please.
