People Advisor

Job Description


Due to an internal promotion, we are now looking for 2 People Advisors to support our 2 Senior People Partners.


Role Overview:

The People Advisor is a hands-on role responsible for supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle while serving as a trusted expert in employee relations.

You will provide practical, commercially focused guidance on employee relations, people policies, and organisational change working with one of our Senior People Partners in their defined areas of responsibility.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Provide expert advice and support to managers on a wide range of ER matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance, and capability issues.

·       Manage ER cases end-to-end, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and best practice

·       Provide support to the Senior People Partner with complex ER cases and organisational change projects.

·       Data informed decision making; report on and identify trends in ER matters and recommend preventative actions.

·       Maintain accurate and confidential ER records

·       Manage visa and sponsorship applications with the support of external legal partners.

·       Work to ensure data accuracy within People team owned systems.

·       Escalation point for queries that cannot be resolved by People Officer.

·       Any other relevant tasks as required by the wider People team.

 

 

Experience and Expertise: 

·       Proven experience in a People Advisor / HR Advisor role

·       Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations

·       Experience managing ER cases independently

·       Strong communication and problem-solving skills

·       Experience working in a multi-site or fast-paced environment

·       Resilient and calm under pressure

·       Relationship-building and stakeholder management

·       Analytical thinking and use of data to inform decisions

·       Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

What you'll earn (you won't find "competitive salary” written instead of a figure on our watch!)

£25,000 - £35,000 DoE
