HR Advisor/Operational HR Partner

Job Description

The Role

Dellner Polymer Solutions operates from two UK sites, providing technologically advanced vibration control, rubber fabrication and bonding solutions for a global market.

This role supports both our Littlehampton and Burton sites, acting as a key HR contact for managers and employees and providing practical, on‑site HR support. The focus is on employee relations, attendance, documentation and routine HR processes, helping ensure people matters are handled consistently and the site operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Lead on a wide range of employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance management.
  • Escalate complex or high‑risk matters appropriately, seeking support where required.
  • Advise and guide line managers through ER processes, ensuring a fair, consistent and compliant approach.

Operational HR support

  • Provide clear, practical and legally sound HR advice to managers, drawing on company policies, employment law awareness and best practice.
  • Act as a visible and approachable HR presence on site, supporting managers and employees with day‑to‑day people matters.
  • Balance consistency with pragmatism in an environment with legacy practices and evolving ways of working.

Manufacturing & Site Complexity

  • Support busy manufacturing sites, with awareness of operational demands, shift patterns and production pressures.
  • Work closely with H&S and operational teams to ensure people issues are managed safely and appropriately.

Systems, Payroll & Data

  • Maintain accurate time and attendance records, checking payroll inputs and resolving basic queries or discrepancies.
  • Support high‑volume employee lifecycle administration, ensuring paperwork, system updates and checks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Produce standard HR reports and data outputs to support site activity.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong generalist HR advisory experience (minimum 5 years) within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience supporting employee relations activity, including disciplinaries, grievances and absence management
  • Ability to provide clear, practical HR advice to managers and question decisions constructively where appropriate
  • Organised and detail‑focused, with the ability to manage a varied workload in a site environment

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards Level 5)
  • Exposure to more complex or high‑volume ER environments

£32,000 - £36,000 per annum
