Join us and you'll be joining a movement that is re-shaping how HR professionals are supported. Be part of something that genuinely matters to so many people

From the smallest of acorns....

The HR Ninjas movement was born in January 2018 when I decided to start a Facebook group for HR. What started out as 30 of my HR friends coming together to talk about the realities of life in HR has grown into a private, professionally run community of more than 38,000 HR professionals - still on Facebook, still human-first and still fiercely protective of each other and the safe space that we’ve built as a collective.

Our digital presence grows every single day across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, email and our jobs board - all organically, intentionally and with community at the heart. Every new member is verified by us, by hand, because trust, safety and belonging matter here. Our members come first always. And every action we take, every decision we make is always with our members front and centre. As a team we care passionately about the work we do and our hashtag of #strongertogether holds true and firm as strong today as it did when we first started out.

We’re now looking for a Marketing Executive that understands the power of community driven content and wants to help us keep growing in a way that feels authentic, inclusive and true to our roots.

What this role really means

This isn’t going to be shaped like your typical marketing job. It may not even look like any marketing job you have seen before! But that's ok. We know we are offering a unique and special opportunity here, and we are unashamedly proud and excited to be welcoming another colleague (or two - see our Community & Ops Administrator job also advertised!) into our team!

Join us and know that you'll be joining a small start-up family-owned and managed business. Which honestly? It brings it's own set of challenges and opportunities!

The upsides are massive here for the right person though. so many opportunities for growth and development! We totally get that working in the way we work won't be for everyone and if you have a disliking for autonomy, creative freedom, collaborative working and want to work from an office 5 days per week, this probably isn't the gig for you! so STOP NOW!

But! If you DO enjoy working at pace whilst juggling multiple tasks and get a buzz from meeting deadlines and making people happy all at the same time whilst also being part of a small team where we all 'muck in' to help and support each other, this could just be the opportunity you've been waiting to read!

What does this job involve - the headlines:

  • You’ll play a key part in shaping the daily experience of a huge, trusted community.
  • You'll bring our partner activity to life, creating campaigns & moments that deliver real engagement, visibility and value.
  • You’ll be the person behind content that sparks connection, strengthens belonging and reflects the voices of thousands.
  • You’ll be joining a small team where your ideas matter, your contribution is visible and your work directly impacts HR professionals all over the UK.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is a Marketing Graduate or someone who brings equivalent knowledge & experience
  • Is genuinely interested in adding tangible value to a small business
  • Understands commercials and community
  • Has an affinity with the HR profession and genuinely believes in the
impact HR has on people, culture and workplaces
  • Is passionate about our partners and curious about the solutions
they offer to improve the working lives of HR and the people they
    serve
  • Brings warmth, clarity and creativity into their work
  • Enjoys turning real community moments into meaningful content
  • Loves the rhythm of planning, scheduling and keeping things
    running smoothly
  • Understands the responsibility that comes with communications to a large,
    values-driven community
  • Appreciates working in a small, agile team where collaboration is
    key
  • Values trust, kindness and genuine connection

We care about your voice, your attitude and your instinct for community.

Let's get into the details....

A full breakdown of responsibilities, expectations and success measures is included in the  Marketing Executive Role Profile here.

How we work:

We’re a remote-first team but we make time to get together in person at least once a week. Expect regular co-working days in Nottingham where we plan, create and reconnect as a team.

We are in the fabulous position where we can work hours that fit around our lives. This isn't a 9-5 Monday to Friday gig where you will be chained to your laptop. We work flexibly and we measure our team by the work they deliver
