Community & Ops Administrator

Job Description

Join us and you'll be joining a movement that is re-shaping how HR professionals are supported. Be part of something that genuinely matters to so many people

From the smallest of acorns....

The HR Ninjas movement was born in January 2018 when I decided to start a Facebook group for HR. What started out as 30 of my HR friends coming together to talk about the realities of life in HR has grown into a private, professionally run community of more than 38,000 HR professionals - still on Facebook, still human-first and still fiercely protective of each other and the safe space that we’ve built as a collective.

Our digital presence grows every single day across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, email and our jobs board - all organically, intentionally and with community at the heart. Every new member is verified by us, by hand, because trust, safety and belonging matter here. Our members come first always. And every action we take, every decision we make is always with our members front and centre. As a team we care passionately about the work we do and our hashtag of #strongertogether holds true and firm as strong today as it did when we first started out

We’re now looking for a Community & Ops Administrator. Someone who understands the power of community driven content and wants to help us keep growing in a way that feels authentic, inclusive and true to our roots.

What this role really means

You'll be joining a small team where every contribution matters.

You’ll be the person who keeps our community, partners and Jobs Board running smoothly.

If you're someone who gets genuine satisfaction from organisation, accuracy, workflows and being the calm, steady heartbeat of a busy digital community... then this role has your name all over it.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has brilliant written communication and proofreading skills (attention to detail is an absolute must!)
  • Pro-active and solutions focused, the kind of person who sees what needs doing and gets it done (don't stand on ceremony!)
  • Can balance structure with flexibility and happily switch between tasks, platforms and priorities (you'll need to wear lots of different hats comfortably!)
  • Has a calm, positive, supportive energy and a genuine desire to make our community experience the best it can be
  • Believes in the power of HR and the value of the profession
  • Is enthusiastic about our partners and the tools, tech and solutions that help HR and the people they serve
  • Understands the responsibility that comes with communications to a large, values-driven community
  • Appreciates working in a small, agile team where collaboration is key
  • Values trust, kindness and genuine connection

We care about your voice, your attitude and your instinct for community.

You'll need to have some admin experience and be able to demonstrate how you can work autonomously and without too much supervision

Being self-motivated and passionate about delivering a fantastic experience for our members is an essential ingredient for this job!

There is lots of scope for personal development and growth in this role
